Maine Seacoast Mission’s Island Health Program Activity: Seacoast Care Collaborative (The Collaborative)
The Seacoast Care Collaborative, part of the Maine Seacoast Mission’s Island Health Program, enhances health care access for residents of Maine’s unbridged islands by connecting them with mainland providers through tailored telehealth solutions. Built through a strong partnership among island communities, MCD Global Health, and multiple health systems, the Collaborative reduces travel barriers, supports continuity of care, and develops technology-enabled access points that reflect each island’s unique needs. With new multi-year funding, the initiative is expanding services, strengthening provider networks, and ensuring sustainable, community-driven access to health care across some of Maine’s most remote island communities.
