Beyond Syringes: A Rural Integrated Harm Reduction Model for Healthcare Access
Our Syringe Services Program (SSP) is a unique rural health model that integrates harm reduction services into a broader healthcare system through a Mobile Health Unit. Rather than requiring individuals to overcome transportation, stigma, or access barriers, our team brings evidence-based services directly to the communities where people live. The mobile model allows us to provide syringe services, health education, connections to treatment and recovery resources, referrals, and other healthcare supports in rural areas where traditional services may be difficult to access.
